How does Knowby use AI to create instructions?

You just need to upload a video with a voiceover so Knowby can turn it into clear, bite-sized, step-by-step instructions automatically. It uses multimodal generative AI, which understands the audio and the visuals together.

Does Knowby’s AI write new content?

No, Knowby’s AI does not invent new instructional content from scratch. Instead, it takes content you already provide — videos, PDFs, manuals — transcribes and splits them into digestible steps. Safety, compliance and training instructions need to match the approved source word for word. You can still edit any step afterwards.

Who can see my knowbys?

Knowby gives you control over who can see each instruction. There are three main visibility options:

  • Public — anyone with the link, no login, and search engines can find it.
  • Private — only people in your organisation, login required.
  • Team — only specific teams inside your organisation.
