How Can We Keep Pricing so Low?

At Knowby, we take equality very seriously. Our motto is “Don’t be a d*ck.” That’s universal language for “Treat everyone we deal with, with respect.” This philosophy extends to our pricing.

Whether you are a small local business or a multinational enterprise, everyone pays the same rate: $3 per user, per month (plus any applicable taxes). That’s it. No hidden surprises. So why are our competitors charging so much, and how can we charge so little? Read on, and we’ll tell you.

Capture Humanity’s Know-How

We believe that everyone should have access to capture and share knowledge with the world (or their colleagues). Knowledge management systems should be affordable, and anyone can access instructions or ‘public knowbys’ if they are made available. Access to instructions leads to safer work practices, more efficient workplaces, and equal access to knowledge—no matter what language you speak or where you are in the world.

Ethical Pricing

Many of the founding members and employees of Knowby have dealt with software companies that do not treat their customers as they should. At Knowby, we are all about transparency. As we said before, we live by our motto “Don’t be a d*ck.” While this wording might be slightly altered once we get an HR department, it means treating all customers, employees, and anyone we deal with, with respect. We’ve priced our platform at the lowest possible cost where we can still make a profit.

We’ve automated our entire process, allowing us to keep costs down. Our platform is an instructions platform, and you can find instructions or ‘knowbys’ as we call them, on everything you can do with Knowby, making you an instant expert. However, we also have a core international team, so you can access round-the-clock support if needed.

No Fancy Pants Sales & Marketing

Unlike our competitors, we don’t have big sales, marketing, or onboarding teams. Our platform is so simple to use that you can onboard yourself if you wish. However, we do have an onboarding support member available should you need help or have any questions.

Our platform is built for scale. We know that Knowby will be used by many people, and volume should lead to lower costs, not higher ones. As we scale, we expect our prices to go down, not up.


Honest Licensing

As we grow, we expect our prices to decrease, not increase. Our licensing is simple to understand and as straightforward as possible. We’ve seen other software companies catch customers off guard with hidden fees and even conduct audits to find extra revenue when they need to boost sales. Some of our team have been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt. We will never participate in these kinds of unethical activities because we never want anyone else to experience that level of stress and upset.
